Growing up as the youngest of 5, my older siblings had kids when I was young, starting when I was 6. I never really liked my nephew, mostly because we grew up as siblings and not aunt and nephew, but as I got older, I realized that he was the best thing that happened in my life. He made me see that kids are just trying to be happy in their life, and that's what made me realize that I wanted to become an elementary teacher. While I have not had true babysitting experience with other families, I was the born in babysitter when my nephew needed it. I was always there, and even though we fought, it always worked out in the end. When I started college, I thought I wanted to be a scientist because I had forgotten that true dream of being a teacher. But after my Read more first Chemistry class, I suddenly remembered that I wanted to teach younger kids, and spend my life being there for them and eventually becoming a mom when I get older. I love kids and want to be that special person for them as much as I can.
