Hello! My name is Abi. I have many years of experience as a babysitter/nanny for children ages 6 months to 10 years, typically caring for 2 or more children at a time. I have experience with caring for twins as well. I also worked as a Resident Assistant while I was a student in college, and eventually as an Assistant Resident Director on staff, co-leading a team of 10 students, to oversee 300 students in our on-campus apartments. Additionally, I worked at a preschool for 6 months and served as the childcare facilitator for the preschool’s affiliated church. I was a certified lifeguard and am in the process of renewing my First Aid and CPR certifications. I stepped away from nannying to complete my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. During my program, I spent a year as an intern therapist for an outpatient Eating Disorder program. I am still working Read more on getting licensed, but being in the early years of marriage, I am taking my time to get back into it fully. My husband is a medic, and we are focusing on getting him further in his career, as his field requires rigorous training. We are not quite ready for kids of our own, but I would love to use my time and help others by investing my nurturing nature into caring for your children. I currently work in HR and would like to step away from the corporate world, as I find I thrive best when I am with people and helping them grow, at any stage in life. Being a caregiver is something I enjoy, as it fits my natural gifts and abilities and learned skill set, while allowing me to live out my passion to help others!
