I am a stepmom of two active boys 9 and 11, and have 2 kitties. I love all animals, art, and crafts such as showing the youngest how to draw on their Easter eggs or making Christmas ornaments, exploring cool science museums, swimming with my boys, playing board games, or the occasional Minecraft session with them. I love seeing kids' eyes light up in wonder at the zoo seeing a baby giraffe up close or seeing a lifesize steam engine at a museum. I love how much the greater Austin area has for exploring and satisfying their thirst for knowledge about what they are passionate about. I am warm and nurturing with others. I get much delight in making my kids laugh hard and I love laughing with them. I have worked with my own kids and their struggle with things such as eating outdoors on vacation due to flies. Read more I have used humor to help them cope with by asking what a dog would call a fly. Dogs think flies are sky raisins. Bees are spicy sky raisins. I would not let a dog eat a bee. This did get lots of laughs and my oldest was able to get out of his skin with the issue of flies. Cool scenery such as picnicking with a nice view of the lake has also been helpful in increasing their will to eat outside. I have a culinary background and share baking desserts with my kids. I'm a good cook with fair nutrition knowledge for a healthy lifestyle to be able to prepare healthy meals for your kids. I would love to work passionately with you and for your family.
