For families that are COVID-19 conscious that are still wearing masks, Emily J is apparently not going to be the sitter or nanny for you. I specifically stated we were COVID-19 conscious in the opening direct message to her. Typically, someone who is concerned about what COVID conscious means will request clarification. It started as that and quickly turned when my response included that masks would be required. Apparently, Emily J finds masks ineffective and outdated, and doesn’t feel that I lead the conversation to include expectations about masking, leading her to believe I wasted her time. So, this review is for all of the new mothers seeking childcare with children who may not be vaccinated (yet) and/or has health conditions that may place your child at higher risk of getting any illness. Masks may be necessary, with or without COVID. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just wish the text interaction could have been more professional and less triggering. So, that’s a no thank you.
