I'm Perla! I'm 22, and I have been working with kids for 5 years! I worked at a mobile petting zoo, was a Dental Assistant for 2 years, and currently am working at a Settlement Home for Children! I've always enjoyed being around kids and I'm greatful I was able to move onto something that seems for me! I'm a mom to a 1 month old little boy! I'm currently on maternity leave and still juggling around if I will return to work, or take on babysitting/nannying for those who will allow me to bring my little boy when and if needed, as it's only us 2 and leaving him with family could be challenging at times. I am a very positive person who prides herself on being incredibly punctual, patient, and kind. I've both nannied and babysat for many children over the last seven years, and I always enjoy helping them grow up before my eyes. I can truthfully say I’ve always loved the children placed under my care. I am CPR certified and a nonsmoker. I also have taken some culinary arts classes and am an excellent cook if meal preparation is required. Watching little ones meet milestones and getting to know older children's interests is a real joy in my life. I graduated from Texas State and plan to return to get my masters in library science in order to become a school librarian if nannying stops being a thrill and joy (hasn’t happened yet, haha!). I’ve worked with kids my whole life. I love getting to be a small part of their growth. One of my favorite parts of being a caregiver is the belly laugh over something silly. The light in the child’s eyes when something finally clicks and they learn a new thing is a joy to see.
