I currently attend Stephen F. Austin State University where I am majoring in Elementary Education. I am learning how to shape the minds of our future leaders, dreamers, mothers and fathers. Working with children is what I believe God has led me to do. I believe that He gave me an imagination, love of children and great patience so that I can achieve this dream. I am a very social and outgoing person and love arts and crafts of all kinds. I currently volunteer at The Boys and Girls Club in Nacogdoches for a few hours per week. I work with several small groups of children at a time. We do crafts, play games and read stories. I love reading and encourage it to every child that I have in my groups. I come from a very big family and have been around small children most of my life. I Read more was a teacher aide in my high school’s Pre-Kindergarten class for two years (My sophomore and junior year). I was an aide for second grade my senior year. Working with ages four and up are who I feel the most comfortable with.
