Hello, my name is Kyra. I have experience as a former Teacher at Stepping Stone Private Preschool. I taught a classroom of 11-12 two year-olds. In my classroom we learn through play. So for example, when teaching them about pets, I would draw a picture of different pets like dogs, cats, birds, or fishes. Then I would give them pet puzzle pieces or another similar object that represents those animals and I would ask them to match them up. This simple task teaches the children shape recognition, color recognition, print awareness as they notice the words, and they are learning how to match those words to its corresponding image, and not to mention they are having fun while doing it! Children feed off of praise and attention, so in this way, I have been trained to teach young children fundamental language, cognitive, social/emotional, physical skills through play and art. Although Read more I am no longer a teacher, I still love children, I love helping them grow and learn. I understand that my role as a nanny/babysitter has an impact on your child, as all things do at such an early age, and I'll do my absolute best to play a positive, patient, nurturing, happy role in your child's life. Since teaching, I have been a nanny to a newborn and a two year old. And since then I’ve been a nanny to one family consistently for the past 3+ years. Two boys from ages 8 mon + 2 1/2 years to now 4 years old & 6 years old.
