I started out in the Church Nursery/ Daycare helping out the ladies in charge. I then moved up to where I could control the class by myself. I helped with snacks, playtime, and lessons. I had a few babysitting jobs here and there that I would do. I have had experience with all ages of children from newborn 14 years+. During high school I was interested in teaching. I took a class where I was able to go into a kindergarten classroom and be their student teacher for the year. It was a very fun program and I learned a lot about teaching and having educational fun with the children. I did some volunteer work a couple of summers during high school. I worked at a camp called Charis Hills as a volunteer counselor. The camp included children with ADD, ADHD, Asperger s, High- Functioning Autism, ETC. After high school Read more I became a nanny for twin 18 Month olds. I would take them for walks around the neighborhood, feed them, put them down for naps, change them, play with them, ETC. I then became a nanny for a nice family that had an 8year old boy. My duties included picking him up from school, taking him home for rest time. He would have rest (IPad time) for about 45 minutes when he got home. Then we would start homework time. He would have to finish some homework each night, plus 30 minutes of reading. Then he would be able to go outside to play with all the neighbors unless he had tae kwon do/ soccer practice. I would take him to his practices then back home, or his parents would meet up with me to pick him up. I also kept the kitchen clean and his bedroom/ laundry.
