I have six years of teaching experience from infant through elementary age, as well as a big heart with lots of love to give. I have two children of my own, now 9 and 11 years old. Raising them has been my absolute greatest joy and biggest accomplishment. Although I have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, I left the workforce to take care of my kiddos in 2005. For the next four years I was 110% devoted to my children and loved every minute of it. Once they were old enough for preschool, I started teaching at my church's preschool (2009 until 2014) - My preschool experience includes lead teacher for the 2-year-old class, lead teacher for the 3-year-old class, and a floater in all classes (baby to Pre-K). I have been a substitute teacher for Warner Elementary since 2013, with experience teaching Kinder thru 5th grade. I was a Read more VBS teacher at my church for the past six years, teaching children Pre-K through elementary age. I have also been my daughter's girl scout leader for the past four years. I have always had a special place in my heart for children - children bring me tremendous joy. I discovered my love for children after becoming a big sister at 7 years old; instantly I was a second mother and a huge help to my parents while raising my three siblings. From the very moment I became a mom to my own children, I knew this was my calling. I then shared that joy through teaching, where my philosophy was to treat the children as I would treat my own because that has always been my wish from my children's teachers. Because every child is unique, I try to think outside of the box when caring for a child. Both my son and my stepson have ADHD and raising them taught me to find what works for the individual child. I take childcare very seriously, and I am very passionate about helping to guide them down a road of success while in my care. I consider education extremely important. At the earliest age (yes, I read books to my newborn), I started working with my children at home, educating and advancing them and also encouraging a love for reading. Both of my children tested into the GT program. I am a very organized, detailed, dedicated and sweet-natured person. I have an abundant amount of patience and am very hands on with children. I absolutely love crafts and creativity, as well as the outdoors and enjoy sharing this through activities with the children.I love animals and have three Yorkies of my own. I am seeking a Nanny position on weekdays between 8am and 4pm.
