I have six younger siblings so I have been caring for children for many years now. I am a sophomore in college at Southern Methodist University. I am pursuing a major in Psychology and a minor in education to pursue my dream career of working with kids. This past summer I was a full time nanny for a 16 month old for 9 hours a day, five days a week so i have extensive experience with younger kids. In addition, I directed a summer camp at my local homeless shelter for children ages 5-13 for 6 years and was in charge of 30+ campers at a time. I created educational curriculum for the camp, planned field trips and helped each individual child's needs. Also, I worked as a daycare provider at a preschool on site at this shelter so I have years of experience with infants and toddlers. I received a congressional honor for my hard work at this shelter. I am CPR certified and have a valid drivers license in addition to my own car.
