Greetings families, My name is Cathy, I grew up in a small Wisconsin town and moved to Dallas with my husband in 2001. I'm an energetic and health conscious mother of two teenagers. It gives me great pride to say both my kids are straight A students at the top of their class. If I had to pick one reason for their success in school, I would without question attribute it to following the sage advice of my mother, "Read to your kids often and start when they are still babies." Beginning early is important because the roots of language are developing in a baby's brain even before he can talk! I don't there is a big secret to raising happy successful children, it's all about showing them love and joy as well as the vast possibilities of our world. For me there is something so satisfying at seeing a Read more child learn and discover the world around them. Just think of all the first times we get to share with them.. It's just so amazing and fun! Recently, I lost a job of 10 years due to our business closing. It was a dream job for me and I feel so fortunate to have had such a positive and satisfying work experience. For the last 20 years most of my direct work experience has been in retail and the hospitality industry. I enjoy cooking and entertaining and consider myself to be a formidable home cook. For me food and fellowship has always been my favorite way to connect and share with friends and family. It is my goal to work for a family who respects and welcomes me like a member of their own family. I am a dependable and hard-working person. Through personal experience I know many of the ins and outs to raising young children. It requires patience, love, and a great deal of energy. One of my favorite activities is walking and hiking outdoors, hopefully this is something I could do with your kids. A walk to the park or maybe a stroll around the neighborhood for some exploring.
