My name is Lauryn and I became a care giver at a very young age. My cousin, who is now my younger brother was left with my family when he was two days old. Knowing my parents were done with children after they had me, my want to help take care of that new baby boy was always there. I would feed, change, watch, and play with him every day after school. I learned how to bathe and put him to sleep. As we got older, he developed breathing problems and I learned CPR and learned what to do in emergencies. I have taken care of children in my teens, being the "neighborhood babysitter" and in my late 20's I became a primary care giver to a baby girl who went through a traumatic experience, leaving her in the hospital with a terrible skull fracture and slow motor skills. I Read more went to every speech therapy session, every physical therapy session, and every doctors appointment she had. I also Cared for her after the three surgeries she had and helped with everything a 1-3 year old would need. (she is a trooper and has been adopted to an amazing family who I visit every few months.) I also have been and recently am my mothers care taker. She became ill 8 years ago and needed a kidney transplant. she did receive that, and again i was there for the surgery, the after care, and now dialysis. I dress her, wash her, make her meals, help her with anything she struggles with alone, and wouldn't ever think twice about it. I believe that if anyone that needs help ( from just baby sitting - full time care) should be able to get that help from someone that is passionate and knows what they are doing. I believe I am that kind of person. This is something I enjoy doing and would love to be considered to help out in any way I can. I also want to note that I will always have respect for your FAMILY VALUES. If it's important to you, it is essential for me to instill your morals with what I do.
