Child psychology major with tremendous devotion to children's mental health and development, that has spent the past 5 years working with families as they transition through various milestones, lifestyle changes and even severe illness. I am an experienced postpartum and support doula, wellness chef, and lifestyle manager that is passionate about the synergistic health and wellness of children AND caregivers. I am a nurturing, intuitive and attentive caregiver, patient yet structured, dedicated to the holistic wellness of children and caregivers. I believe in the psychological importance of structure, boundaries and routine, yet recognize the need to be flexible and understanding of the realities of life's unpredictable ebb and flow. I practice a gentle, communicative caregiver model, with the understanding that gentle doesn’t mean without natural consequences and/or healthy respectful boundaries. I have a holistic approach to care and believe the family is a living, breathing, ecosystem from which a child Read more grows. Domestic partnership is never 50/50. Some days it's 80/20, some days you are both running on empty. That's where I shine, as I tackle the loose ends and fill the gaps. My goal is to take things off of the caregivers plate that assist in creating a harmonious environment in which parents & children, are able to flourish, connect and thrive. ALL of my skills & expertise are available to my clients, as needed. I ran a Montessori style culinary school for children, ages 4yr -high school, for many, many years in Preston Hollow at my neighborhood restaurant every summer. I wrote an age/skill based, progressive curriculum and a 150 page cookbook for these annual programs, which, I still use for my clients children. I had 10 kids, all using real knives and gas stoves, by myself. NEVER had an accident, 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week. These classes included children on the autism spectrum, and children with severe food allergies. It was the highlight of my year, every season. Nanny Manager /House Management / Personal Assistant Scope I am a retired 4.5 star restaurateur and award winning chef. With over fifty thousand hours of hands on hospitality, business administration, and high value property management expertise, I am a master in the art of intuitive and seamless personal service. I believe systems of operation, attention to detail and the ability to motivate others are the drivers of excellence in any high demand environment.
