I chose to work with children with special needs during my junior year of undergrad. I wanted to help children with emotional, social, and physical special needs. I decided this because I, myself, was a sick child. I had severe asthma as well as ulcerative colitis (which later prompted major colectomy surgery). I am now a licensed master's degree level social work professional with experience in child and adolescent therapy. My experience includes intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children, as well as asthma. I have worked in the school system as a substitute for special education classes in all elementary levels (EC-4th). I prefer to work with children ages 4-12 who are toilet trained. I have no medical training. I am willing to offer homework help for your children on basic math (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication), English, Social Studies, and Science. I will also Read more do simple chores such as walking the dog, cleaning cat litter, feeding pets, dishes, and laundry. I am willing to run errands as long as they are not far from your home. If you contact me I am willing to send you my resume with my job and duty listings, as well as a copy of my teaching certificate and social work license. I am willing to work with sick children depending on the illness. Auto-immune illness/disabilities are fine. Communicable illnesses must be discussed with me. I have additional training in child trauma and grief.
