I have been in child care for over 20 years. I started working in a preschool in the two-year-old room where I had 12 two-year-olds by myself. I learned very quickly that structure and routine is key. I moved to the DFW area where I begin working as a nanny for a family in Plano. There were three girls ages ranging from eight months to nine years old. I was with this family for 6 1/2 years. My duties included taking care of the youngest throughout the day and taking her to activities as she got older. I also picked the kids up from school in the afternoon and took them to any activities that they have had. From that family I moved on to a family in colleyville. I have been with this family since January 2007 (11 years). I have two kids with this family that I have Read more helped raise. The oldest was 11 months old when I started and he is now 12. I treat these kids as if they are mine. At this point my job consist of getting the kids to school and picking them up from school, taking them to music class and any other afterschool activities they may have. I also do light housekeeping. I do laundry, Change sheets, and make beds daily, clean up the kitchen and do dishes, and will sometimes fix light meals for the kids. I am not a gourmet chef by any means but i am very comfortable fixing meals for the children. I am looking for a family with younger kids so that it can be a long-term position. I am comfortable with pets. I am looking for a loving family that is interested in me becoming part of the family for years to come!!
