While I only started nannying this year, I have been caring for children for most of my life. My early experience started when, as the youngest of my siblings, I became an aunt for the first time at 7 years old. I babysat my nephews throughout my teen years and became a stepmom in my early 20s before having my own child who is now 14. The year my son was born, there must have been something in the water, because in my extended friend group there were 17 babies born that year! It was a great experience as we all learned from each other and that there truly isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to parenting. As the kids got older, being a room mom in their elementary classrooms was one of the best experiences I’ve had as a parent. Getting to spend time in a classroom full of kids from Read more diverse backgrounds was so much fun! I currently nanny for a wonderful family from 9-5, Monday through Friday but am available for evening, overnight, and weekend care. I am CPR, first aid, and Stop the Bleed certified and have passed both the Newborn Care Specialist and Nanny Basic Skills assessments from the International Nanny Institute, as well as completed Montessori in the Home training. I am currently working on becoming an infant sleep consultant and look forward to helping families get the rest they need to live the full lives they deserve.
