Hi, I am Tia! I am currently a live in nanny for a family with 6 kids (ranging from 2-11) I have been with them for 2 years and absolutely love being a nanny, however I am looking to relocate to Texas and would absolutely love to continue nannying. Because I nanny 6 kids currently, I am very used to a chaotic schedule. I have worked in childcare since 2017 (with the exception of my time spent in the military) and have always loved working with kids of all ages, I love doing hands on things like crafts and cooking or baking with the kids and being as active as possible (playing outside, building forts, playing board games, playing with puzzles and other brain games etc.) I have acquired the “sports taxi” role with the family I have been with for 2 years, so I am very comfortable driving kids Read more around for whatever reason needed. I also make it a point to help around the house, do dishes and laundry as needed, pick up when I see clutter, daily cleaning task such as sweeping/spot cleaning, and anything else the parents might need. I also love grocery shopping if the parents prefer not to, I would gladly take on that task! The way I view my role as a nanny is to make the parents role as easy as possible while also giving the required attention to the children. I’ve been known to jump on the trampoline, push swings, play in the sandbox, making up games, make forts, build “obstacle course” with pillows, etc with the kids, so they get to build childhood memories and have fun experiences. I also love coming up with sensory activities and learning games for younger kids to help them with learning and motor skills before school. I have also been known to be a “homework helper/checker.” I also have life guard and swim instructor experience so going to the pool would definitely be an option (as well as short swim lessons if wanted.) Overall I would just love to find a family that welcomes me and allows me to help shape their kids into the next good humans in the world.
