From babysitting starting about age 15 I have always loved being with children. During my time at Baylor University, I was able to turn this passion into a job as I worked at both Villa Sports child care facility in the Woodlands and at a Methodist church in Waco in their childcare facility. Both of these jobs along with the mission work I do with Children in Zambia led me to want to pursue a career in pediatric occupational therapy. This will allow me to follow my dreams of helping others and working with children. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate in Occupational Therapy at UTMB. In my free time, I love to cook, read, and create all of which I think are greater life skills. I also enjoy spending time outside with my friends and pets. I am organized, outgoing, and a hard worker. I think all of these Read more things have helped me develop a bond with the children I work with. I think there are two things that set me apart from others. First, my childcare experience has lead me to be able to handle large groups of mixed-age children. Second, my future career choice has lead me to work a large group of children with varying ability when shadowing.
