I started tutoring and babysitting at 13 years old which snowballed into becoming a nanny. I took care of the best little boy, and eventually he was not little anymore. After the inevitable I turned my focus on pet care, working for a Vet clinic for the past three years. Soon after, my niece was born, I remembered the feeling of watching a child grow, and develop and the awesomeness of being apart of it. My hobbies are reading, and baking which I truly believe are two important skills every child should have (a good book, glass of milk and a homemade chocolate chip cookie is heaven on earth). In my career I have worked with children that are on the Spectrum, some more severe than others, as well as children diagnosed with fetal alcohol syndrome and down syndrome and those kids made me a better person and showed me Read more measurable love. When I am with a family I treat the children (and their pets) as if they were my own. I believe that having that dynamic is very beneficial in the child's upbringing with a dash of keeping a level of professionalism. My philosophies are: Laugh as much as you can Children are children Children also need responsibility and consistency Children teach you more than you teach them Give children the tools to be valuable members of society Mistakes are the best lessons Let them make the mistakes, just be there when they fall and most importantly: Be the person that you want them to be
