I have been a nanny to the same family of 4 for 10 years. I was hired on to take care of a set of twin boys who were born premature. I was their everything. I was never an employee but a family member from day one. My duties did change as the boys grew. The beginning lots of diapers and bottles and love. Them lots of running around as toddlers potty training and more love.Then they entered elementary school and grew too fast but the love was still there. My duties thru the years were bathing ,playdates,taking to activities,spend lots of time on the floor playing. Light housekeeping be cause they had a housekeeper. I took care of everything that involved the boys including their laundry. I cooked light meals as they got older for them. I read to them. I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Ben Taub in the ob clinic for 10 years. I then followed one of the interns that became a resident "Dr"into private ob practice for 6 years. I decided later life in private practice was becoming very stressful so i looked at other options. Well a petient of mine connected me to the twins and their parents and the rest is history. I did travel with them out of state each year for the summer. I am a divorced mom with grown kids but some still in college. I have only been a nanny once in my life but that beautiful experience lasted 10 years.
