Hi my name is Merisa Blanco! I am currently a student at University of Houston-Downtown. I am majoring in biology and hope to have a career as a pediatric chiropractor. I try my best to schedule my classes where I tend campus twice a week so I have more availability for work. Outside of school, I work part time at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church Weekday School as a preschool teacher caring for 1-4 year old children. Previously, I have been a babysitter since I was 18 years old. I began sitting for my sisters baby and then began to sit for more family and friends kids. My experience is primarily with newborns to the age of five but kids of all ages is not an issue. I love to sing along to songs, play outside if allowed and help kids learn to talk, read and write. I love animals! Read more However, I am allergic to cats. I still find them very adorable but unfortunately, I would have to just keep my distance from them. Other than my allergies to cats, I do not have any issue with pets. My hobbies/interests include anything related to arts/crafts, traveling, spending quality time with my family (I am the youngest of six), trying different restaurants (I’m a big foodie!), watching movies, going to shows, and cooking.
