My name is Sam, I am an experienced educator with over seven years working with elementary aged students. I was a Kumon tutor for one year, an afterschool care preschool teacher for one year, and an elementary teacher for the most recent four years. In addition I worked as a volunteer for several years with Houston ISD, the Boys and Girls Club, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. I love working with children, but since the pandemic began teaching in the classroom has not been the same. And so, I have chosen to leave that career in lieu of something less risky to my health. I am currently seeking something temporary, though if the compensation is high enough I am happy to accept a permanent position.
