Meet Diana

My name is Diana Lizama and I would like to introduce myself by means of this letter. It was always a great dream of mine to live and work in a foreign country and I'm really excited that it'll become reality soon. I would like to go to the United States because I love the idea of learning new things in new countries and meet new kind people with different customs and traditions, I would also like to share mine with you, it'll be a pleasure. I've never been in the mountains or played in the snow, it'd be really amazing build my first snowman and play with the children. We also have beautiful oceans and cenotes in Yucatan but I don't know any lake which I think are fascinating. Now I would like to tell you more about me and my family: My family is very united. My parents Read more work in their own small business in town they are vendors. On one hand my mother was an executive Secretary , on the other hand my father was accountant, both worked hard for several years before having what they have achieved nowadays, and of course they have taught us that the most important thing when you want to reach your dreams is your attitude to face life either you are going through good or bad moments. Nowadays my mother is who takes the lead of the bussines because my father got a government job. My sister is a master psicotherapist, she works for a company in the city as well as my brother who is a teacher but works for real state. I get along very well with all of them, we are far from perfect but we love each other and we always support each other when needed. We are very affectionate and know that if we need an advice we are not going to judge but be there to listen to what is going on and find the best path to make it through. I've been studying English at about 3 years now, I've had different roles in my career path. I have a bachelor degree in education, I'm graduated as Spanish teacher and have worked in public schools during and after, I have had couple of thousand students, I loved being teacher and enjoyed a lot my students they were always sweet and respectful. I've also worked for the government as teacher and coordinator in some Children programs, even been coordinating events in all the schools I've worked and studied. Have you ever had a dream, a big one where you have had to risk something? That is my love for languages and cultures, which I never have had the opportunity to learn. There were couple of things that my parents didn't want me to do because they always thought I could hurt myself like going to karate, but I wasn't a child anymore so... I decided to move to Cozumel Island and study English while working, it was a little challenging and tiring but now that I understand, talk and listen to English better I don't regret it, otherwise I think dreams are worth certain risks. I've worked as bookeper in a beach club, after have met me more and seen my other skills, my boss gave me the oportunity to get extra work and pay so I could help myself with my studying and practice even more my English, I used to work on the weekends or when required as hostes and somedays either during the week or on the weekend I switched my role from bookeper to saleperson all of this in a touristic area. Before the pandemic took place I was going to go to the United States so, I trained thoroughly three people to take my place in some of my labors, but not everything was according my plans, the pandemic started and I had no job during months, I had to come back to my parents' house and couldn't go to the US because the authorities weren't approving Visas. It was then when decided to enroll and study for Chiropractor and that is what I'm doing currently, I like it and love my new friends too. I also still learn English online because I really want to improve even more, and when finished English I really would like to learn French or might be chinese? I´ve driven for many years I learned with a Verna 2004 when I was sixteen and I continued driving since then… I´ve driven this kind of manual cars: Sentra 2010, chevy monza 2008, corsa 2008, chevy 2012, attitude 2015, platina 2003 and a few more automatic like Attitude 2016, Dodge Avenger 2011, Xtrail 2008, Sentra 2006, Durango 2012, Xtrail 2018, attitude 2019. I also learned to drive scooters since I was eleven years and have driven ATV. As I've mentioned before, I enjoy being with children, that was one of the reasons that I chose to be a teacher, if you chose me to be your Au pair I'll be very respectful and take care of your babys very well. I could also go somewhere with them to enjoy ourselves, eating ice cream, watching movies or cartoons (I like cartoons very much) , go to the beach, to the movies, or play sports like basketball, soccer, volleyball or tennis, speaking of which I could even teach them to play tennis which is my favorite sport. I might help them with their homework too, some other activities that I used to enjoy very much when child was go to the fair, play bored games, video games, swim in the pool, ride bicycles , take a ride, going to the park...I still like and do most of them :) I'd like you gave me the opportunity to be your Au Pair, and even considering me as part of your family at some point, would be a great pleasure for me. I really hope hearing from you soon Best regards, your Au Pair: Diana Lizama♡
