I have been a nanny for the past 25 plus years. I have loved and taken care of many children during this time including six set's of twins. I work closely with the parents and feel communication plays a very important part in a parent / nanny relationship. I feel the growth and development of a child is very important. Children should be loved and nurtured, and encouraged to explore, try new things, and ask questions. Children should be praised often to help them have confidence in themselves. I try to make everyday interesting and a learning experience, such as a walk through the neighborhood, a picnic in the park, or a treasure hunt, and working on craft projects. An infant will be given lots of attention, and have many learning experiences, observing their world as you play with them and they listen to your voice as you talk, read Read more or sing to them. I look forward to a long term position. I have always found it difficult to leave children I have cared for and loved, for most of their lives. I always leave knowing I did my best to help them have a good foundation for their life ahead.
