Hello, my name is Brooke Medders. I am twenty-two years old and love working with children. I like to have (responsible) fun and make the environment around me positive and energetic! For several years, I have worked with children in many different settings and environments. For three years, I would babysit the two children of family friends overnight and I have two nephews that I regularly care for. I have also worked in the children’s ministry at my church for the last eight years. The following is the childcare experience I have gained from working in my church: • I have worked with all ages. (infants up to 18 year old) • My husband is the children’s pastor at our local church and I work with him every service with kids. • Every Sunday and Wednesday, I work with 4 yr-12yr olds in children’s churches, classes, and choirs. • I Read more also teach and help in various ways every year at our church’s Vacation Bible School. • For three years, I have worked as a counsellor with teenagers at Church Camp. Childcare/working with kids is something I am passionate about and love to do. Other Qualifications/Certifications: I have successfully completed a child sexual abuse prevention/awareness course. I have a current certification in CPR (including infant CPR) and First Aid.
