Childcare has been a constant part of my life for over 20 years. My experience began with caring for my 12 nieces and nephews and expanded into many different environments. Sunday daycare and babysitting throughout junior high helped me extend into nonfamilial childcare. During high school, I taught group and individual swimming lessons to all ages (including infants) for 6 years. This involved frequent CPR and First Aid training; I currently hold a CPR certification. I've spent 15 years as the Assistant Director of a children's theater, which required different communication styles for 5-13 year-olds and overall time-management. Most of my time was spent teaching music and choreography and entertaining the Littles. I've also worked 6 years as a high school speech and dance coach. My role involved teaching communication skills, identifying emotions, and inspiring creativity. I have nannied for one family for a year, caring for an infant and Read more a toddler. I primarily handled the morning and lunchtime routine. Children deserve safety, support, entertainment, and education. I will enthusiastically encourage each of these qualities on a daily basis.
