My love for taking care of children began at an early age. I was raised in a church atmosphere and that is where I was able to obtain my first job working with children. I was honored to be a Sunday School teacher and a Children's Church teacher for preschool aged children. I also was dedicated to helping out in the nursery every chance I was given. From there, I went to college to study interdisciplinary studies which is just fancy terminology for teaching. During college, I was able to experience hands on training that accumulated to over 100+ hours. While in college, I accepted a nanny position through an accredited nanny agency. The family was composed of two children, ages 7 and 10, and their parents. I was responsible for keeping the children on their schedules (soccer practice, school, homework/tutoring...), preparing all meals, laundry, and ultimately being a personal Read more assistant to the mother. I loved the family as if they were my own family. I always kept the best interest of the children in mind. After working with the family for 2 years, my husband and I conceived our first child and I had to sadly resign with the family for maternity leave. I was heart broken to leave the family but ecstatic at the same time to begin a new chapter in my life. I made the decision to stay home with my daughter for four years and I was privileged to teach her to prepare her for her next journey, preschool. I found a teaching position at Primrose and my daughter was able to attend there as well. I was overwhelmed with joy. I was able to monitor my daughter's intellectual experience and share my love for children at the same time. I began teaching the preschool class and then once I was acclimated to the curriculum, I ventured to teach all age groups. I truly enjoyed working in the infant program. Working with babies is life fulfilling. Knowing that you have the opportunity to nurture a little life and watch them bloom is irreplaceable. After my career with Primrose, I needed to make a change when my daughter stared kindergarten so I could be home whenever she got out of school. I started a work from home job with Neiman Marcus. I feel like I have missed out on my calling: children. My heart is dedicated to taking care of little ones. It is my passion. Now I have another miraculous addition to my family. I recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy which now is two months old. I am ready to embark on a new journey as a loving nanny for the right family.
