Hello everyone! My name is Katie H. and my wife and I just moved here from Washington. She is in the Air Force which is why we have relocated here! I have 5 years experience being a preschool teacher from ages infant-6. My background is in nature based/play based preschools and have experience in Waldorf, Reggio-Emilia, and Montessori philosophies. I am a firm believer in play being the root of learning in young children and have a love for the outdoors, art, messy play, and social-emotional skill building. I have my AA in early childhood education and have a year left of my BA in early childhood education with emphasis in trauma studies. As well as being in ECE classes currently, I regularly attend workshops and conferences for ECE and stay updated on the current research in my field.
