I have a college education and believe that each day can be a learning experience for your child. I believe that kids need to feel secure in order to reach his or her full potential. I believe in using rewards and consequences to teach good behavior. I have several years experience in working in children's programs. I have experience in child welfare and foster home certification. So I feel I have a good working knowledge of safety for children. I also understand that it's important to follow parental recommendations as each parent knows his or her child better than anyone. I have been a caregiver on many levels during my life. As a teen, I babysat for several families. However I did finish college and have worked mainly in a professional setting for 20 plus years. During my grandmother's later years I served as her caregiver. I was her caregiver Read more until she passed about 13 years ago. She was a double amputee. I feel that I have the tendency to want to take care of others, especially children and the elderly. I have 2 children, ages 21 and seven. I live in Odessa, the North Park area. My husband and I moved here about 3 years ago when he found employment in the oil and gas industry. I have been working part-time the last 2 years as a counselor. My husband's new job schedule is very demanding and I am now looking at options so I can take my son to school and be home when he gets home from school. My husband and I have a 4 bedroom 3 bath home. We have lots of room and there is a park nearby. I am a very clean person; we don't smoke or have pets. Our 4th bedroom is our spare room. Persons living in the home are myself, my husband, my 16 year- old step-daughter, and my seven year-old son. I am able to cook and will follow any dietary guidelines you may have for your child.
