I graduated from U.A.B. School of nursing in 1978 and I've been licensed in Alabama and Florida. I raised two children of my own and have cared for children and adults for decades. My areas of expertise included diabetes education, medical and psych nursing, and technical writing. I have been annually certified in CPR since 1978 and will get it renewed once I'm employed. I've worked with a number of special needs adults and children and coordinated several Camp Sugar Falls for diabetic children. ABOUT MY FAMILY: My elder son is a software engineer who designs and implements programs for national and international firms. He's married to a doctor who's the lovely mother of my gorgeous 3 year old grandson. My loving, bright "baby" son graduated last year from high school and is still considering school and career options. He once scored first in Sarasota County on elementary school F.C.A.T.'S. Read more and his destiny awaits. I cared for my terminally ill parents for 4 years in their home until Dad passed away last year. I love and miss them very much and it was an honor to be with them and enable them to die peacefully at home. I'm 60 years old and not exactly svelte. I'm working on that! The activity of caring for kids will certainly help melt the pounds away. My car just died but I have a driver's license and clean record and will finance another once I'm employed. I'm a devout Christian but not a Bible thumper and I will respect and honor your beliefs. I celebrate and honor all ethnic backgrounds. After all, my mum was a "half-Jewish" child considered fully Jewish under German law. She never forgot the sight of a Nazi pilot's cold stare as he shot at her and her neighbors on the streets of Norwich, England. Yeah, you could say I'm not a bigot! I flat out love kids and I'll love and care for their pets. Tiffany with Sitter City says my credit card will work once I receive the permanent card in the mail (I have the temporary card which the system can't accept.) Then I'll pay for the background check. We can negotiate salary and maybe a few other terms, okay? I look forward to hearing from you.
