I am a soon to be empty-nester, who, after 15 years in the Semiconductor business, is ready to return to the people business. I love children, especially babies and little ones. I’ve always been a nurturer. In fact, while not the youngest female in my group at TI, my boss still introduced me to new staff, contractors and co-ops as the "Mother-of-the-Group.” I recently refreshed my child development class at Collin College & will be taking an infant/adult CPR class to re-certify my card. As the youngest of nine, I was an Aunt at age three, and was surrounded by children & my siblings parenting styles. Having such a great family lead me to my first career as a Child Protective Services worker in MT. In addition to investigative duties I also taught parenting classes to both clients & foster parents. My background also includes over twelve years of working Read more with adults and children with developmental disabilities, which included understanding development & creating individual treatment plans to assist individuals to reach their fullest potential; reinforcement schedules to eliminate undesired behaviors. I strongly oppose any form of corporal punishment & have never struck a child. I have benefited in personal growth having had Danish in-laws & witnessing first hand "the-Danish-way.” My own son is a healthy, well-adjusted 17 year old. My baby is now over 6΄ 3" and I’m really in need of a baby-fix! (^_~)
