Hi! I’m Ethany Castillo, and I’m a new University of Texas graduate with a bachelors degree in political science, a minor in philosophy, and a certification in child psychology. As a recent grad, I’m aiming to fill this summer with the joy and excitement that comes with caring for a child before I begin my career this fall! I’m 22 years old, and have cared for many children (from eager toddlers to wild pre-teens) since as early as 13 years old. I spent three of those years working in an early childhood education and development center as a teacher, allowing me to genuinely understand and get to know a wide range of little personalities! In addition, I have been a sports coach throughout many summers of my lifetime, a reading and writing tutor, a SEAL volunteer where I taught underprivileged students how to read, and a good old-fashioned summer camp Read more instructor. I am CPR and first aid certified, I absolutely LOVE animals, and look forward to staying busy - whether it’s a nice relaxing indoor activity or a wild outdoor adventure! Three fun facts about me: I love to sing, play instruments, and write music; I have a 9 month old border collie pup who is the sweetest most energetic girl on the planet; And I love doing all things fun in the sun and nature centered. To close, I believe my many diverse experiences in childcare and my true love for children really allow me to shine when it comes to being a caregiver, and I would love to share that light with your beautiful family!
