Hi, my name is Mayowa! I have extensive experience working with children aged from infancy all the way to their teens. I have tutored, nannied, and worked in child development over the past 14 years. In the recent past, I was also the director of children and youth ministries at my local church. I would be so happy to meet you and your children. I have great hope that we would enjoy and trust each other's company. For as long as I can remember, I've worked with children, at my first job I tutored at Kumon. I worked with toddlers as young as 3 years of age and taught them how to read, and I also assisted in tutoring high school students in subjects such as algebra and English. While in college, I was an assistant teacher at UT Child Development Center. My youngest child was only 6 weeks old Read more and my eldest was 5. So much development happens during those short years and I was able to learn from some well-established and seasoned teachers how to help a child grow in their potential. I worked in child development centers for 5 years, nannied for a family with three grade-school children, and, then transitioned into facilitating children in ministry as the Director of Children and Youth at my church. There I worked with children as young as two to teenagers as old as eighteen. With their and their parents' permission, I helped to guide them in Biblical knowledge and Truth. Currently, I am taking a hiatus from the rigorous world of ministry and honing my skills as a novelist. I am writing a book! But I miss working with children! My days are somewhat free, but my late afternoons and evenings I can give to helping a loving family.
