Meet Destiny

  • Comfortable with pets

Hi, I'm Destiny! I am seeking my next nanny opportunity with a wonderful family. I'm a kind, compassionate, caring, and silly person born and raised in San Antonio Texas. As the youngest of my siblings, with 6 nieces, and nephew’s caregiving has always been a part of my day-to-day. So, naturally, I turned to childcare as a profession at the age of 16, and I've never looked back. Typically a nanny can feel very sterile for a child, but I always take the “cool” “aunt” or “big sister” approach! As that feels much more comfortable for me, and the kiddos. Right now I’m in school to become a Dental Hygienist. My background includes caring for infants, toddlers, and youth starting when I worked as a pre-school assistant in high school. Since graduation, l've worked with multiple families as a Nanny, and Nanny House Manager. Just to give a little detail Read more on my long term positions (2 years working for each family), I worked for a police officer turned detective who was a single mom to a daughter, an Air-force family on the military base originally from Okinawa, Japan with two sons, was a private live in Nanny in Houston for a 1 year old little girl and the most recent family was in New Braunfels! I nannied for two pre teens, a girl and a boy on the Autism spectrum. To this day, I remain very close to all the families I’ve worked with, their kiddos are literally my little besties 🫶🏼 I've worked in childcare for the last 10 years, and am CPR, and First Aid certified. During college, I upgraded to working with private families during the day and in the evenings I worked as a date night babysitter. In my free time, I enjoy painting, hanging with friends, swimming, biking, trying new things, and going to the local pet shelter to spend time with animals who need some extra love. I'm looking forward to finding the next family that I'll be working with long-term. It's VERY important to me, that we both feel we're the right match for one another. Lastly I very much appreciate you taking the time to read through my bio. I hope we can connect soon!
