Hello! I am Karina and I am completing my senior year at Texas State University with a bachelors in social work. Through out high school I occasionally baby sat toddlers ages 3 and 5 for a family friend. My senior year I read weekly to first grade classes from our feeder elementary. And had the opportunity to create interactive activities after each book. Throughout my four years of social work courses I have had the opportunity to work at a children's shelter were I worked with children from ages 2-13 in the system. My responsibilities required me to help with homework, make dinner, plan after school activities, and prep for bath time. I also trained I appreciate working with children because I get to experience their fun little personalities. I enjoy creating a safe place for children that allows them to be comfortable and have fun.
