Hey there! My name is Haley and I’m a recent graduate of Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences as well as a minor in English. I’ve worked with kids in a variety of roles since I was 16 including babysitting, teaching swim lessons, and assisting in an afterschool program. Prior to graduation I completed an internship and volunteer hours with a local nonprofit child advocacy center and family violence shelter I served in a variety of roles including co-facilitating child therapeutic groups in the shelter. My academic training paired with my experience in child care has allowed me to better understand children from developmental and trauma informed perspectives. In the future I hope to pursue a Masters of Social Work to continue my work with children and teens in a therapeutic context. I’m located in the San Marcos Read more area and will be through the summer. I’m comfortable transporting children and I have my own car. I am able to supervise children in water as well as teach fundamental water safety and swim skills. My interests include reading, sewing, video games, arts and crafts, and makeup!
