Hello! My name is Billion Tekleab and I am 22 years old. I am a student at the University of Houston pursing a liberal arts degree in African History with a focus in Arts and pre-medicine. In my free time, I enjoy doing arts and honing my barista/roaster skills. I also work part time as a barista at Starbucks and roaster on a contract basis. During high school summers, I gained experienced volunteering at a preschool as a teacher/caretaker. I taught Vocational Bible camp at my church where I held the role as a camp leader for years. For some time in college, I nannied on an unofficial basis but stopped as COVID-19 came around. To that point, I am fully vaccinated and I do not mind getting tested every week. I truly believe that children teach you so much about yourself and about the world which is why I Read more love being a sitter. They have so many gifts and it is an honor to nurture kiddos in whatever way they need. What sets me a part from other sitters is how much patience I have. I grew up in a family of 6 as the oldest girl, so it was always my responsibility to make sure the kids have a great time while keeping supervision of them. To add to that, I have a German Shepherd, a breed known for hyperactivity, and a crazy amount of cousins who are always at my house. Kids can get quite distracted so I'm lucky having a high stamina is something naturally engrained within me! I am CPR certified and can swim. My qualities are patient, organized, time oriented, and fun-loving. I understand that a paragraph can't accurately describe me so feel free to any questions.
