I have been babysitting since my parents felt I was old enough to be left alone in the house, which was at 12. I began babysitting my younger siblings, and then branched out and started watching neighborhood kids. In highschool I spent three summers in Nebraska as a Nanny to my two little cousins who were 10 months and three years old when we started. While keeping them we worked on potty training, getting rid of the pacifier, and eating foods outside of our comfort zone, which for a three year old is an ordeal as some of you know. In 2013 I began teaching college level courses full time. I love teaching more than I ever imagined. I manage classrooms of about 50 kids every class which has made it very important for me to take time and observe which students need just a little extra help, or some Read more extra encouragement. I have also been very lucky in being allowed to watch the cutest and smartest little boy I know who now calls me Aunt Megan. He has definitely taught me patience and understanding, as he's grown over the past three years. In short I love kids, old and young. I think that teaching kids anything they are willing to learn and sometimes what they aren't willing to learn is my sole purpose in life.
