In May of 2018, I will graduate from Baylor University with a bachelors in Child and Family Studies. I am CPR certified and have experience working with a variety of ages ranging from infants all the way until 17 years of age. I have worked at Laity Lodge Youth Camp in Leakey, TX serving as both a Canyon Club director and a Work Crew boss. Canyon club directors lead a group of college aged women in taking care of full time camp directors staffs' children. I provided transportation, feedings, organized schedules, and provided a fun and healthy outlet for these children as their parents served camp. As a Work Crew boss, I led a group of 17 year old girls in kitchen setup/cleanup and growing spiritually. For the past three years, I have also been part of YoungLife in Waco. Through YoungLife, I build mentor relationships with middle school girls; Read more living life with them and sharing the Gospel. I also serve at my church through Awanas where I teach three year olds about scripture. I have always been told to pursue a job where you feel the most alive. For me, that's being with children. I love the pure sincerity of children. I think it's beautiful to watch them be silly and play, grow, and learn. I gravitate towards children, being with them brings out the best in me. I aim to help children reach their maximum potential. I believe I have a gentle manner which has proven to be comforting to children of all ages. I am also responsible, dependable, competent, friendly, and take great care in the job at hand.
