Howdy! My name is Katia, and I graduated from Texas A&M with a Psychology degree in December 2024. My long term goal is to pursue a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I hope to eventually work with children and families in therapeutic settings. Since graduating, I have enjoyed being an assistant preschool teacher for the past year where I found my passion for working with kids! I love getting to know each child’s unique personality and interests, and helping them feel safe and supported. While I have loved my time in the preschool classroom and all that it has taught me, I am excited about the opportunity to work more closely with families and care for children on a more one-on-one basis. I believe that individualized care allows for stronger connections and a deeper understanding of each child's needs.
