Kiara worked with us for two days and everything was good initially. We were even planning to buy her various memberships so that she could do more activities with our baby. Unfortunately, everything changed after she got Covid. We messaged and called offering help if she needed. However, she started avoiding us. We cared about her and found multiple temporary arrangements for childcare while she was sick, thinking she would be back after recovery. We didn’t push her and wanted her to recover first but communication became more difficult. We asked for an update after two weeks since we needed a timeline in order to find more temporary help during her absence. After three weeks passed, there was no response or call as to when she would be back. Eventually it was evident that she completely ghosted us. We don’t want other families to end up like us and having to stress while finding backup arrangements while hoping for a response. This is not professional and would not be tolerated with any employer.
