Looking to take care of 1-2 children part time in our back yard with a mud kitchen and our house full of toys suitable for a wide range of interests! For the past three years I have been a stay at home mom. After numerous short term experiences offering childcare in my home I have realized that I would like to do it on a regular basis. I have two children of my own - an almost 7 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. We love to play outside, do crafts, and take trips to the aviary, red butte gardens, and the library. In addition to my short term childcare experiences I also spent 12 years teaching creative movement to preschoolers. This, along with having my own children, has helped me become very comfortable facilitating play and negotiating conflict between children. I am currently taking a refresher Read more CPR class online through the red cross the covers babies, children and adults. I look forward to meeting you and your family to see if this will be a good fit for both of us!

I have known Emily for 4 years and I trust her completely with my children. She has intermittently cared for my 2 children in her home or my home for the last 3 years. She has experience with infants and children of all ages and feels comfortable managing multiple kids in one setting. She started caring for my infant son occasionally at the same time as her own infant. Given that they are the same age, she essentially was caring for the equivalent of twins and she handled them with ease. Now that my son is a toddler, she has watched him at the same time as several other children at her home. Her home is safe, pleasant and comfortable, and my son loves going there. Her son plays well with other children. She has a wide range of toys and activities for kids of all ages. She has a very large grassy backyard with creative play things (like a homemade water table) and a vegetable garden. She loves to involve children in projects like gardening, art, dance performances, and baking. Emily is excellent at managing conflict between children - both toddlers and older children. I often wish she could be around my kids all the time because they listen much better to her thoughtful resolutions! My children have participated in her dance classes and I am always impressed with her creative lessons and her ability to manage large groups. Emily is a wonderful mother and caregiver and I know that all the families who use her in-home nanny service will feel lucky to have found her.
