I love the outdoors and being active. I also love kids! I hope to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. I've grown up being around children whether it be working with or playing. During my teenage years I babysat for families in my neighborhood and was able to be a nanny for my cousins in Salt Lake and New York for weeks at a time. From January to May (2015) I have had the wonderful opportunity to work as a Motor Aide and Special Needs Aide at an elementary school. I have come to love my job and the kids that I work with! As an aide I help students reach academic, social, behavioral and physical goals. This includes working on handwriting, walking, being able to sit in a chair by themselves or being able to participate in a classroom with other students. This job has taught me how very different Read more each child is and how to adapt in a way that best helps the child. My confidence and ability as a caregiver have vastly improved. I feel confident in my ability to work/help kids of any level.
