Hello, I'm Drenna! Originally from sunny San Diego, California, I'm now pursuing my nursing degree at Roseman University in South Jordan. While juggling my studies, I'm also offering part-time childcare services. Allow me to share a bit more about myself and my qualifications. Growing up as one of the oldest among over 20 cousins, my love for caring for children was ignited at a young age. I recall cherishing moments of feeding and changing my baby cousins since I was six years old. While others were eager to hit the pool, I found joy in staying indoors, tending to their needs. Being surrounded by babies and children for the majority of my life has been both a privilege and a delight. However, in more recent years, I spent two years as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Rady Children's Hospital and Villa Rancho Bernardo Care Center. During this time, I immersed myself in providing attentive and compassionate care to medically fragile children and elderly residents. From assisting with daily activities to monitoring vital signs, my dedication to ensuring their well-being knew no bounds. What truly sets me apart is my knack for forging genuine connections with those I care for, a testament to my empathetic nature and strong communication skills. Beyond my professional endeavors, I find immense joy in volunteering at Primary Children’s Hospital's Ronald McDonald Family Room. It's my little way of offering support to families during their toughest moments. Whether it's providing information, assistance, or just a comforting presence, I approach each interaction with empathy, patience, and resourcefulness—traits I hold dear in my caregiving journey.
