My name is Carissa and working with children is my passion. My first job with children was working as a nanny right after high school. That experience helped me realize that I wanted to work with kids for my career. For 3 years of college I worked with children with autism and behavior problems. I spent a lot of time teaching the kids social and behavioral skills, as well as planning fun activities both at home and in the community. I quickly learned the needs of every child are different, but being able to help a child learn of overcome a challenge just gets me so excited!! I am currently in the Special Education program at Utah State and have spent the last year working for the school district as a behavior specialist. A couple other random fun facts about me… I am CPR trained, have my RBT license, and Read more was once a CNA My husband and I are expecting a baby boy this fall!!! We have an adorable micro golden doodle named Bear. I can never have too much Crumbl or Swig.
