I'm a 23 year old student at the Univeristy of Utah studying Civil and Environmental Engineering. My current job as a server at Taqueria 27 is fast paced; I'm always on my feet, thinking multiple steps ahead because every second in the industry is valuable. Working under pressure is a daily "task" as a server, so this is not a problem for me. Starting when I was 16 and until I was 22, I worked as a care-giver, doing CNA work at West Jordan Care Center. Here I took care of mentally and physically handicapped residents, assisting them with everyday tasks like personal hygeine (showering, diaper changing, teeth bushing) and recreational activities. Having experience in this job is important to babysitting being that at a young age I was taught how to take care of people who couldn't take care of themselves, and who couldn't even communicate what they wanted Read more or needed. From this I learned how to pick up each and every residents' different physical and verbal cues to make sure I could give them the best care possible.
