Fantastic Clairy Poppins! I have just finished a wonderful year with a very sweet family. Mason was 9 months old when I started but was actually born at 27 weeks. He is such a happy little boy. My duties were all traditional nursery duties, from play and development milestones to cooking for the baby and taking care of his nursery and clothes. My post came to an end due to the COVID19 crisis. Both parents work from home and have now positioned their careers to no longer need a nanny. We part on very good terms and I know they will be more than happy to provide a reference. I took a year out of work to travel with my husband to attend The Air War College in Montgomery Alabama. The post I had prior to Alabama, was working for an awesome family with 3 children, their ages at start were 1, 3 and 5. It was a full time position, from about 06:30 to 17:00 though of course, I was flexible to the families needs.From waking up, getting ready in the morning, school runs, play, picnics and of course during school vacations. Creating fun ‘summer camp’ type activities to keep them busy, active and encourage learning though play. As a part of a busy family / team, I helped run the house, run errands etc, essentially a 'family assistant'. Prior to this placement I had worked off and on over the past 10 years as a nanny, working mainly with newborns and under threes. I have vast experience with multiples, one family had twins and another family had triplets. I hasten to add, the triplets was not sole charge! I am very easy going and happy to fit in around parent(s) schedules, I have a kind and gentle attitude but a very level head, I am not easily phased and am confident in my abilities. I love having the honor of helping a family with the care of their little one. I am a military spouse having lived overseas for many years, my husband is currently assigned to the Pentagon and we have purchased a home now in Manassas. I love to cook, relax with friends and of course travel when time and work commitments permit.
