Hello— My name is Eliot! I am a rising senior at Middlebury College studying Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies with a double minor in Political Science and Architectural Studies. I am returning from a semester abroad in Nepal, Jordan and Chile studying human rights. While I am orginially from the Washington, D.C. area, this summer, I am in Boston as a summer nonprofit fellow, working with a local womens shelter. As an older sibling, I grew up taking on caregiving responsibilities from a young age. Through high school and college, I've turned this into professional experience in childcare and education. I have extensive training in early childhood development, earning certifications in designing age-appropriate lesson plans supporting students with disabilities. I am activley certified in CPR, and have completed many CPR/First Aid for working with kids, including a no longer active lifeguard certification. In addition to academic training, I've held several Read more hands-on childcare roles. I spent two summers working as a summer camp counselor, where I lived with middle school-aged campers, providing mentorship in an all-female environment. I also have experience as a private caregiver for an elementary student with developmental disabilities.   No matter the setting, I strive to create an engaging, enriching experience for every child I work with. I am passionate about keeping kids active, exploring the outdoors, and encouraging them to try new activities. Outside school, I am passionate about fitness, getting outside, reading, and traveling.
