Completed an internship at New York State Psychiatric Institute in Recreation Therapy and moved to NOVA for work as a Recreation Therapist in September 2014 for the state of VA. In January 2015 I became nationally certified as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Recreation Therapy is a service that provides treatments and recreational activities to individuals to improve or maintain physical, mental and emotional well-being. All of my classes focused on learning how to deal with people of any sort and the inclusion of people of any sort.
