My name is Kailee, and I am a 28 year old woman who currently lives in Arlington, near Bishop O’Connell. I graduated from James Madison University (JMU - Go Dukes!!) in 2018 with a BBA in Marketing and a BA in French. I speak French fluently, and love: being active/outdoors, cooking/baking, reading, singing (I am a classically trained, operatic vocalist), and spending time with my pets. I love all animals and am more than willing to do pet care as well; I, myself, have a 9month old Doberman puppy, and two 8 year old cats. I am the oldest of two siblings; my little sister, Claire, is 6 years younger than me and was my first foray into childcare, at a young age. I am also the oldest of 12 first cousins, so I grew up loving little kids! I am originally from the Virginia Beach area, but I have Read more lived in Arlington for the past 5 years, and am extremely familiar with the local DMV area! I have worked in IT consulting/sales since my graduation from JMU, and I am currently the Director of Business Development for a woman-owned small business that is in government subcontracting. That being said, I am planning to take some time off from my corporate job, and was hoping to get back into either part time or full time childcare. A little about my background in childcare: As I mentioned, I have a younger sister who is six years my junior. I grew up looking after her and her many friends from the time they were about 4-5years old. I was the go-to babysitter for the families of all of my sisters friends. Additionally, I was a nanny for a family with two young girls for 8 years! I attended a small, private high school that also had a lower and middle school on campus; the girls I cared for, attended the lower school. I would drive them to and from school, daily; assist with homework and studying; set up and supervise play dates, including at the beach and the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club; take to and from sports/activities such as swim practice, lacrosse, gymnastics, surfing, and tutoring. During the summer months, I was their full time nanny: 8hrs a day, at least 6 days a week! Once I went to college, I would come home and care for them periodically on weekends, and I provided full time care every summer. I also did multiple overnight stays while their parents were out of town. In addition to childcare, I also walked/fed their golden retriever; ran errands; made sure the children ate healthy meals; and did light grocery shopping/housework.
